data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The mission of the Black Belt Community Foundation is to forge a collective stream of giving from the community and other sources so we, the people of the Black Belt, can enhance our continuing efforts to lift ourselves by \u201ctaking what we have to make what we need.&#8221;<\/strong> Founded in 2004 with the idea that those living and working in the Black Belt best knew the area\u2019s challenges and opportunities, the Black Belt Community Foundation actively puts needed resources into the region that make a lasting impact.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"p1\">\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"p1\">The BBCF is based in historic Selma, Alabama which is the heart of the Black Belt, and serves twelve counties \u2014 Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Wilcox \u2013 a combined population of approximately 184,000 people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5422da4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5422da4\" data-element_type=\"widget\"
