The pandemic has reminded us that JOY is essential.

The #BlackGirlJoy Challenge (#BGJ Challenge) welcomes girls and young women ages 12-24 to describe their ideas for spreading JOY with their friends, families, and communities. To apply for the $400 challenge award, young people will share their idea, explain how it spreads joy, and create a budget. A committee of Youth Ambassadors will select the #BGJ Challenge winners. The application will be open from Sunday, August 1, 20201 to Sunday, August 15, 2021 for girls who live in the 12 states served by the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium
