What is Mission Investing?
BBCF’s mission investments are financial investments that have to be repaid but can be very helpful to community based organizations and community-focused lenders because there are 1) typically much larger than grants, 2) typically made on very flexible terms such as low interest rates and a long term or repayment period. A BBCF mission investment may help your organization to achieve some of its priority goals more quickly than having to raise resources in other ways. BBCF may make mission investments directly or through community investment partners.

To be eligible for a BBCF mission investment, your organization must:
- Be headquartered in and/or provide service to one or more of the 12 Alabama counties served by BBCF: Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, or Wilcox.
- Be able to repay a flexible loan or investment over time.
